2. Hosting
This website is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany (servers located in Germany). IONOS processes data arising from visits to the website on our behalf. The basis is our legitimate interest in secure and reliable provision (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). A data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR) is in place with IONOS.
3. Server log files
When you access the website, the server automatically collects information transmitted by your browser: IP address, date and time, page accessed, referrer URL, browser type and operating system. This data serves technical delivery and security (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) and is deleted after a short period.
4. Contact and forms
If you contact us via a form (contact, support ticket, hardware order, reservation) or by email, we process your details to handle your request. Emails are sent via IONOS’s SMTP service. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures/contract) or (f) (legitimate interest in responding).
5. Customer account (Livo ID)
For an account we process your email address and a password (stored only as a cryptographic hash). We use a technically necessary session cookie to manage your session. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
6. Use of the POS and cloud sync
If you pair the Livo POS with your account, master data (e.g. items, staff) and revenue/closing data are synchronised between the POS and our cloud to provide the features you booked (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Without pairing, the POS remains purely local on your device.
7. Payment processing (Stripe)
For paid add-ons and hardware we use the payment provider Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd., 1 Grand Canal Street Lower, Dublin, Ireland. When you make a purchase, the data required for payment (e.g. name, email, payment details) is transmitted directly to and processed by Stripe. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. Stripe’s privacy notice applies in addition.
8. AI chat assistant
The website integrates the “IONOS AI Frontdesk” assistant by IONOS SE. If you actively use the chat, your input is transmitted to IONOS to answer your request. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in providing an easy way to make contact (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Please do not enter sensitive data in the chat.
9. Retention period
We store personal data only for as long as necessary for the stated purposes. Statutory retention periods of up to ten years apply to documents subject to tax and commercial retention obligations (e.g. invoices).
